Insulation
What is Mechanical Insulation?
Mechanical insulation is a thermal barrier, commonly applied to surrounding pipes, ducts or tanks that reduce the transfer of heat. This keeps the respective hot or cold temperatures contained, controls moisture to prevent mold growth and aids in energy (and cost) conservation.
A tool that pays for itself
The return on investment from properly installed mechanical insulation comes through reducing energy costs, reducing emissions, protecting lives and increasing the life expectancy of costly equipment.
Following completed Superior Industrial Insulation projects, a public university in Ohio realized a return on investment in 10 months, while an industrial steel mill facility had an ROI for their mechanical insulation in less than 30 days.

Energy Audits
The goal of a mechanical insulation energy audit is to help building owners and facility managers reduce energy consumption, lower utility costs, improve system efficiency and support sustainability initiatives by optimizing the performance of mechanical insulation throughout the facility.
