Fire and Life Safety

Protecting Health and Saving Lives

At Superior Industrial Insulation Company, protecting people and property is at the heart of what we do.

Our fire and life safety solutions are designed to meet the highest standards in risk mitigation for industrial, commercial, institutional and residential environments.

We specialize in advanced fireproofing applications that help prevent the spread of fire and safeguard structural integrity during emergencies. Our expert firestop services ensure critical barriers are in place to contain smoke, flames and toxic gases, enhancing occupant safety and meeting rigorous building codes.

We also offer comprehensive infectious disease control measures — such as specialized barriers and containment systems — to help limit the spread of pathogens in sensitive facilities.

Whether you’re facing regulatory requirements or simply want peace of mind, Superior Insulation delivers proven solutions that keep your people, assets and operations protected around the clock.

Firestopping

Firestopping involves sealing openings and joints in walls, floors and ceilings to prevent the spread of fire, smoke and toxic gases. Firestopping materials, such as fire-resistant sealants, mortars, wraps or collars, are specifically designed and tested to restore the fire-resistance rating of the building element they penetrate.

Fireproofing

Fireproofing materials, including intumescent coatings, cementitious sprays and fire-resistant boards, are designed to insulate steel, concrete and other key building elements from the intense heat of a fire. By slowing down the rate at which these materials heat up, fireproofing helps prevent premature structural failure or collapse.

Infectious Disease Control

At medical facilities such as hospitals, emergency care centers and nursing homes, the risk of spreading airborne diseases increases during construction projects, especially when ceilings, walls or flooring are removed. The disturbed material can cause the release of agents that may be trapped and pose harmful effects to those in the building, leading to healthcare-associated infections.
